Brian Shepard

Brian (24 yrs.) has a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science from the University of Vermont and is a LEED Associate.  He is akayaking with orcas in San Juan islands permaculture gardener and avid outdoorsman.

Brian has worked for the LL Bean Outdoor Discovery School as a sea kayak/SUP instructor where he led natural history tours.  His sea kayaking passion has taken him to Acadia National Park in Maine, Lake Champlain, Vermont and, lastly, the San Juan Islands.

Brian is EMT certified and has one year EMS experience.  He has worked as an English and math tutor for grades K-8 in Cape Town, South Africa.  He spends his winters as a ski patrol member at Heavenly Valley, CA on the slopes above Lake Tahoe.  Here he assists skiers with medical aid, snow safety and rope rescue.

Brian is a well-rounded young man with a strong work ethic, a delightful personality and great stories to share around the campfire.
