San Juan Island's Original Sea Kayak Outfitters & Guides Since 1980

Drew Fournier

Drew (23 yrs.) grew up outside of Boston and attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in NaturalKayaking with orcas Resources Conservation. While at UMass, Drew co-facilitated a workshop series aimed at educating colleagues on the realities of the U.S. industrial food system. This experience helped spark Drew’s passion for social advocacy and has formed him into the outgoing educator that he is today.  It is also what makes him such a great cook on our multi-day expeditions!

He has worked for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in two very different capacities; one as a biological technician studying various New England anadromous fish species, and another as a wildland firefighter in eastern Montana.

Drew has kayaked the coastal waterways of Cape Cod since he was 15. He cultivates a naturalist’s curiosity of the San Juan Islands and its surrounding ecosystems just as he did with the natural areas of the east coast. Drew enjoys camping, hiking, biking, and rock climbing. He also occasionally does things indoors!
